So 2016 has been a tumultuous year, we've had terror attacks, Trump, Brexit, and the passing of some extremely talented people. But it's not been all bad!
Here, we look back over these past 12 months with our beery hats on, looking back on the events and festivals we were at, continued catching up with our beery friends, and looking forward to what mysteries 2017 will bring.
Thank you to all our readers and listeners for following us this year, whether it's on our Social Media Platforms, or even if it's just reading our blog and listening to our podcast. What would you like to see from Team Irish Beer Snob in 2017. Get in touch.
Here we have the audio of our most recent #BeeryChats episode, we have on our panel Matthew Dick of www.boundarybrewing.coop who guides us through the history of the brewery and the scene in NI
Also on the panel were Colin, from Ireland Craft Beers, Martin of the Hopinions Podcast, and Cormac from Honest Brew.
In this episode, we have a taste of Carlsberg : Rebrew after attending a Dublin event back in August, we were given a couple of bottles to take home.

We also catch up on our beery adventures over the last couple of weeks.
Yes a blatant rip off of a recent Brewdog post, but hey, I like it.
In this podcast episode we taste a new seasonal offering from Stone Berlin in the form of Xocoveza, a spiced mocha stout. Brought in by Fourcorners. We also dip into the Beer Snob cellar and bring out Buxton's Living End, a bourbon barrel aged imperial stout.

It's a happy coincidence that most folk in the Irish micro brewing industry are of the sound sort. Many are happy to chat away, and talk about their love of all things beer.
We're delighted to have been able to sit down with Alex Lawes, the Head Brewer of Rye River Brewing, brewers of The McGargles range. Not only has Alex overseen the stabilisation of the recipes of the McGargles beers, he's also delivered the coup de grace of Francis Big Bangin IPA, which has quite frankly, made a number of people eat their words.
He's also overseeing a range of brands for Dunne's Stores (Grafters) and Lidl (The Crafty Brewing Co) and these beers have been punching well above their weight, none so much as the Pale Wheat Ale which I wrote about here
In this interview we cover a wide range of subjects but most importantly, an exclusive reveal of the next Whiplash Beer. After Alex teased us all with this a couple of weeks ago.
We hope you enjoy the interview, and keep an eye out from Next Week when this new beer drops, we had it out of the tanks, and it was tasting sawwweeettt!
